What it costs.

Fixed prices, quoted before we start. You will know the number before you commit to anything, and it will not move unless you ask for something new.

  • The One-Pager

    • Google Business Profile set up
    • Usually live inside a week

    The Standard

    $1,500

Best for a business with a few things to explain — services, a story, somewhere to send people.

    • Everything in the One-Pager
    • Set up to be found in local search

    • As many pages as it needs
    • Help with words and photography
    • Everything in the Standard
    • Three rounds of changes included

Add-ons

Quoted per job, from $400. Every one of these is working in a demo on the Styles page — open one and try it.

  • Online bookings or appointments
  • An online shop and checkout
  • Menus, timetables or listings you change yourself, without ringing me
  • Search and filtering, for anyone with more than a handful of products
  • Photo galleries that work properly on a phone
  • Extra pages beyond your package
  • Writing the words with you

Once it is live

Neither of these is compulsory.

  • Hosting and upkeep — $30/month. I keep it online, backed up and current, and make small changes as they come up.
  • Or host it yourself. The site is yours. I will hand it over and help you move it, at no charge.
  • Bespoke work beyond a package is quoted hourly, agreed before I start.

Common questions.

  • How long does it take?

A one-pager is usually a week. Bigger builds run two to three. The slow part is almost never the building — it is waiting on photos and words, so the more you have ready, the faster it goes.

  • What do you need from me?

A conversation about what your business does and who it is for. Photos if you have them. Whatever words you have already written, however rough. If you have none of that, we will work it out together — that is part of the job, not an extra.

  • Who owns the site?

You do. The domain is registered in your name, the site is yours, and if you ever want to take it elsewhere I will help you move it and not charge you for the privilege.

  • What if I want to change something later?

Small changes are included for the first month. After that they are covered by the $30/month upkeep, or quoted as a one-off if you would rather not have a monthly cost.

  • Do I have to host with you?

No. $30/month covers hosting and upkeep if you want it handled. If you would rather run it yourself, the hosting these sites use is free for a business this size, and I will set you up on it.

  • I heard you were doing free builds?

Sapling & Kernel started with a handful of free builds for businesses I believed in — that is how the portfolio got started, and it is where the work above came from. It was the starting phase, not a standing offer. Everything now is paid work at the prices above.
